Our Story

Why are we doing this?

15 years ago our Founder Jo’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and had several surgeries, including a mastectomy. 

One of the most frustrating challenges following her recovery was the search for a new bra. No matter how many hours we spent searching in countless stores, nothing on the market ever provided the comfort or support that she required and deserved.

Unfortunately 15 years on, we know nothing has changed. We aren’t the only ones. It’s time to demand better for our loved ones and for ourselves.

Where are we with this?

We Embrace ran a huge variety of problem interviews with specialist post-surgery bra fitters and women who have had breast surgery.

We have become obsessed with the issues that customers experience with the current post-surgery bra market. Our bra design directly addresses these pains and concerns, to create a better bra than what came before. 

Because of this, We Embrace was a finalist in the 2021 Mayor’s Entrepreneur Competition in the Health Category.

We Embrace are in product development at the moment. We are always looking for people who wear breast forms to try our product.
